It's living for the love, not dying for it.

What's new, what's old, who you love, and who is who.
Don't let me go. I like you.
It's living for the love, not dying for it.

26.10.10

October...what? Ah, 26th. Okay.

I apologize for my failing titles...What am I supposed to write there, anyway?
Ah...well...
I don't think I ever said the word "well" until I came to Spain. They say it all the time in Spanish, "bueno...".

I almost said well again. Oh dear. Ok, so, I have no idea what to write. I've just wasted about six sentences talking about nothing.
On Wednesday, my host father's mother died. The funeral was Thursday or Friday, I can't remember...I'm pretty sure Thursday though.
I'm getting along a bit better with my family now that I'm starting to understand more Spanish and how things work...
I feel like I'm using a lot of punctuation marks. I usually only do that when I'm sad.
Am I sad?
...Well...
Yes.
I guess I shouldn't be, since family life is better.
I'm one of those people who can hold a grudge forever if I want to. I feel like I've got one, and it's eating me alive.
I also feel like my blog is now my diary. Back home I keep my diaries in my laptop, since I type so much faster than I write.
I remember the watching my mom type on her laptop in her bed. I made a little goal to myself to type just as fast as her. I was always so jealous of Kaisa Goodman from back home, because she was the fastest typer ever. Over a hundred words a minute. I'm probably at about eighty or ninety when I concentrate. My host mom gets flustered when she watches me type. She says, "Ay, que rapido!" or in English, "Oh wow, how fast!"
Last night I showed my host dad stuff for his iPhone. How do you have an iPhone and not know how to use it? He's so adorable, ha ha.
I kinda love how my house always smells so good. My mom is always cooking in the kitchen and it always smells so good. My mom back home only really cooks on Sunday, because that's when she has time. My host mom cooks every meal at home...I've eaten out ONCE with my host family, and that was the day I arrived. We went straight from the airport to the restaurant. That was with Paco's sister & her family.
(P.S. Her son was so amazingly good looking. It gave me great hope for Spanish boys...That hope was crushed when I realized that besides my friend Alex as well as said cousin, Spanish boys are not in the slightest way attractive...)
You'll find it's a common thing among teen boys to have short cropped hair with mullets or dreadlocks in the back. It's very popular to just have one dread-lock among girls.
My Rotary club back home said some things about saying stuff about your host family.
They used the following example.
" Do not put your Facebook status as 'Couldn't sleep last night, 'cuz my host dad snores louder then a truck. FML.' Instead, you can put something like this, 'Didn't get too much sleep last night, hopefully tomorrow!' "
I share this with you for the following reason. MY ENTIRE HOST FAMILY SNORES EXTREMELY LOUD! I justify saying this by the fact my host mom and I joke about it all the time. ;)
My host mom wanted to know what this entry said, since it's in English. I told her what I could, but I better just finish up before she asks me again. I've got a migraine already. XD
MISS MY BERBSIES AND BERNIE!
Thanks for reading.
