Or do I just not have a life?
Not sure at this point.
The start of my second month, my host mom had me bring my laptop up with the other computers in the computer room. She lets me on in the evenings. I want to respect her rules, but I always want her to respect that I sometimes need to email my family, Rotary, blog, or just need a little English break sometimes. But I respect her rules. I studied a lot...more than I usually do...
Hopefully I'll Skype my family on Sunday. I got here August 31st, so October 31st marks the end of my second month.
I'm so ecstatic for the next three days. My host brother that I don't get along with is on a three day field trip with his school. Woot! And then the next day, Saturday, is dance and theatre! DOUBLE WOOT!
I can't dance for my life, but I think I've got the short ballet down... I've been spending a good amount of time tripping over my feet and pointing my toes in the kitchen with my mom in my slippers. The floors...FREEEEEZING. The first time I spelled freezing I used an S instead of a Z... A z makes at TH sound in Spanish. It's fretheng! LOL. That's how the Spanish would pronounce it.
Spanish boys...Still not attractive. Cultural fail. (Granted the two exceptions in prior blog post...)
I don't have too much time to write, with time restrictions, but I'll tell you about my day.
It was seriously just another boring sad, sadly enough...Wednesdays and Mondays are the only days I have full classes. The other days I start an hour early or end an hour early. I don't have Valenciano, and I just stay in the library....But today was a nice relief because my English teacher said I could come into her class during two of the three times I have Valenciano in the week. She likes to ask me for help. It really makes me feel good, and I'm not sure why. Ah, well...Oh no! The "well" is back!
I've had some hard times with my friends here, and it reminds me of something a ROTEX said back home to the Inbounds for 2010 in Utah. "...But when you make friends, it goes by so fast!" I don't feel it's true for me.
I should make a list of things to say as a ROTEX, 'cause all I do is think of things to say as a ROTEX!!!
Rotex, in case you were wondering, is those students who have returned from going abroad, and do things like help new or future exchange students etc...
I just hope I can help someone someday, so they don't have to go though things that I do.
I really don't want to spend time blogging...So I'm just going to post some pictures now...
Thanks for reading!!!
