It's living for the love, not dying for it.

What's new, what's old, who you love, and who is who.
Don't let me go. I like you.
It's living for the love, not dying for it.

Day 101!

Hello Day 101!
Welcome to Gabriela's Exchange 101!
Here's the general idea of my exchange.
Left America August 30th, arrived in August 31st, (thanks to a random girl who saved my life in the Madrid airport!)
Met my friends the second day. The Baptist youth have taken me under their angelic wings, and stuck with me through thick and thin.
Started school a few weeks later. Was really difficult to adjust, but gets easier as time goes on.
I attend ballet and theatre of the church.  I really love my host family.
I only got homesick A LITTLE once, because my family adopted a new gecko, who is devilishly handsome. (His name's Chuck!!!)
The only class I think I'll ever pass are English, PE, and Geography.
Spanish food consists of a lot of eggs, fake milk, fake mashed potatos, snails, improperly done up meat... but some desserts I want to eat 24/7!
I'm getting a real authentic Spanish experience-my best friend in school is Bulgarian, the kid stalking me is Romanian, and my host mom and her family all speak fluent French.
Shoulda known!
Darn French!
And their snails!
At least now I'm enjoying salad and bran flakes.
Unlike the other students, I haven't gone out and partied. I've got amazing Christian friends to spend Saturday night in the church singing and playing party games with!
And day 101 will be spent with a much needed shower, a little bit of study on Polinomios... And BRAN FLAKES!
Yum! ^_^
Peace.
